Light Sonata sprung into being when I wondered if I could capture in words the interior world of a pianist lost in a brilliant performance—the madness, the beauty, the grace, the emotions. Such words, seen through the lens of current neuroscience, could place new highlights not only on art, music, and human purpose, but on love struggling to blossom in the madness of it all.
